The music

Be part of the music as it is born

What we play tonight comes into being here in the Roundhall, in the moment – and the music is always new. Ecaterina and Jacob both sing, and Jacob moves between guitars, drums and other instruments. We see and hear the room, and the music follows it: your presence and your energy become part of what sounds.

Layer upon layer of sound, which many people feel calms the nervous system, quietens the mind and opens the heart. Many tell us afterwards that they feel calmer, lighter or moved.

The evening's signs

Harmony and courage

We use the signs the way a painter uses a season: as images to play from.

The Sun in

Libra

Air sign · ruled by Venus

Libra is the autumn air sign of balance and relationships – the beauty of what is in tune, and the gift of seeing both sides of a question.

The full moon in

Aries

Fire sign · ruled by Mars

Aries is fire and will: impulse, enthusiasm and the courage to go your own way.

Autumn has coloured the garden. The music swings between meeting the other and standing firm in yourself.

How to take part

  1. 6.45 pm

    The gate and the garden

Walk in through the green gate by the tree stump and on through the garden to the house at the back. We open the Roundhall at 6.45 pm, so you have time to find your place in peace.

  2. 7 pm

    The first note

The lights go down under the starry sky in the ceiling. Song, guitars, drums, singing bowls and electronics weave together, and Tatsiana Rostved often reads a few of her poems at the start. From the first note you are part of what is coming into being.

  3. about 8.15–8.30 pm

    The stillness after

After an hour and a quarter – some evenings a little longer – the music comes to rest. Stay lying down for as long as you like.

  4. Afterwards

    Tea in the Roundhall

There is tea and coffee, and time to talk with us and the others who were there. Or you can walk straight out into the dark garden and home.

How to pay

The concert costs DKK 111. You pay at the door when you arrive, with MobilePay (the Danish payment app) or cash.

First time here?

  • Take part your own way

Eyes open or closed, sitting or lying down – there are mats ready for you. When the music grows dynamic, you are welcome to dance.

  • Bring something warm

A blanket or warm socks are good to have when you lie still for a while. Your own cushion is welcome too.

  • On your own or with a friend

Both are just as good. If you need a break, simply step out quietly and come back in.

  • Whatever happens is fine

If you fall asleep, or your thoughts drift, that is a way of being part of it too.
