Meet the women from the course

Women who have been through the course tell you what it was like for them. They speak Danish.

Dear sister

Perhaps you know the feeling: you have done so much to understand yourself – and still there is a place in you that will not move. A pattern that keeps coming back. A restlessness that settles in your body before you have time to think.

Underneath lie two questions we all carry but rarely find the peace to ask: Who am I – and what am I here for? Those questions are the reason The Magic Garden exists. Jacob and I have built it as a place of initiation: here you have the chance to come into contact with your heart and your higher self, and to find your own answers. That is why we call it a temple – a modern temple.

I can't promise you what the three months will be for you – you come with your own life. But I can tell you about some of the women I have walked beside. One woman forgave her mother during one of the journeys – and for the first time began to love herself fully. Another had lived with anxiety for many years; during the course the anxiety loosened its grip, and she found a calm and a trust in herself she had never known. Each woman finds her own. What I see again and again is a peace that lasts long after the last retreat – and a feeling of being at home in her own life.

You don't need to have worked it all out before you write. I am the one who reads your words – and the one you meet in the clarity call.

With love,
Ecaterina

The women from one of the courses, together in the Roundhall.

Perhaps you recognise yourself here

  • You long for a deeper contact with yourself – with who you are deep inside, beneath everything you have to get done and be for others.
  • There is something in you that thoughts and words cannot reach – and you are ready to meet it.
  • The same patterns keep returning in your relationships and in the way you treat yourself – and you want to understand them at the root.
  • You long for meaning: to know what you are here for, and to feel that you belong to something greater.
  • You have tasted inner freedom and want more of it in your everyday life.
  • You feel a quiet call to share your love and creativity – but something inside you is holding back the flow.
  • You miss a circle of women where you can be whole – with the hard parts too.
  • You are doing well – and you are curious about what more there is.

Not for everyone

The Free Woman is not for everyone, and the course is not medical treatment – it does not replace a doctor or psychologist. Before your place is confirmed, we talk about your health, any medication you take and what you hope for. If we feel the course is not right for you just now, we tell you honestly. You must be at least 21.

How the course works

The Free Woman – Den frie kvinde in Danish – runs over about three months: three retreats in the Roundhall, each with a ceremony and a night here, and after each one an integration session with Ecaterina and three integration meetings with the group on Zoom. The three retreats build on each other, and that is the whole point of the course: after the first retreat every woman feels better. After the second it is far stronger. And after the third it is no longer an experience but something that has settled – in your body and in your everyday life. Three ceremonies in a row with integration in between is a tried and tested method: it is what lets your energy settle into a new frequency.

The three retreats take place on these dates:

  • 24–25 October 2026Retreat 1
  • 28–29 November 2026Retreat 2
  • 9–10 January 2027Retreat 3

We begin on Saturday at 9 am and finish on Sunday at 11 am.

Circle, ceremony – and you stay the night

We begin in a circle where each woman tells where she stands. Then comes the ceremony. It lasts around six hours – for some up to eight, because everyone is different. Your own female guide sits with you the whole way. She has guided at ceremonies before, and she is there for you from start to finish, even though you are also part of the group. During the ceremony we listen to music, and now and then Ecaterina sings.

In the evening we gather in the circle again to share what happened, eat dinner together and paint mandalas. You sleep here, and on Sunday morning we close with breakfast and a last round before you go home.

  2. Integrationthe weeks after

First you and Ecaterina – then the whole group

A few days after the retreat you have a psychotherapeutic integration session with Ecaterina, just the two of you, at a time that suits you. Here you put what you experienced into words – even the parts you can't yet explain.

Then the whole group meets three times on Zoom before the next retreat. You get the days and times by e-mail. You join from home, wherever you live. Ecaterina gives you concrete techniques, rituals and small daily practices, so that what opened in the ceremony becomes something you can feel in your everyday life.

  3. Retreat 2Saturday–Sunday

The same frame, one layer deeper

Circle, ceremony with your own guide by your side, an evening in the circle and a morning with the last round – now with women you know, and with what you carried with you from the first time.

An integration session and three meetings on Zoom

Once more a session with Ecaterina, and three meetings with the group on Zoom.

  5. Retreat 3Saturday–Sunday

The third retreat – and what brings it all together

The last ceremony of the course, with your guide by your side. After it come the last integration session with Ecaterina and the last three integration meetings on Zoom, where you have time to relax into your new frequency and let it become your new starting point in everyday life.

Your guide is with you to the very end – in the third ceremony too.

Freshly made, healthy, nourishing food on every retreat day is part of the course, and you stay the night after each ceremony. The days of the Zoom meetings come to you by e-mail.

How we hold you

  • Your own female guide

In every ceremony your own guide sits with you – a woman who has guided at ceremonies herself. You don't have to say anything until you are ready. She is there.

  • Six participants at most

The group is six participants at most. That leaves room for you: to be seen and heard, and to go deep in a small, close and safe circle.

  • We talk before you get a place

Before your place is confirmed, we talk about what you are looking for, your health and any medication you take – on Zoom or by phone, not by e-mail.

  • A ceremony, not treatment

The course is not medical treatment, and it does not take the place of your doctor or psychologist. Some people should wait, and we say so honestly.

What if I don't dare to let go?

Many women ask this, and you don't need the answer in advance. Letting go is not something you have to perform – it happens when you feel safe enough. That is why we begin in the circle, why your guide sits with you the whole way, and why there are three retreats, not one: what you don't dare the first time, you may dare the second. Ecaterina puts it like this: it is like learning to ride a bike – practice makes perfect.

Ecaterina kneels by a woman lying blindfolded under a wool blanket and holds her hand during the ayahuasca ceremony in the Roundhall
During the ceremony your guide sits with you – here it is Ecaterina.

The most amazing thing has been being on a course with other women, where there was support, resonance and growth, each on our own and together. I would not have got to where I am today without every single woman on the course.

The course is led by Ecaterina Moth

Ecaterina is a spiritual guide, ceremonial facilitator, singer and healer, and together with her husband, Jacob, she created The Magic Garden. She has made her own inner journeys for 25 years, and in what she passes on she weaves together transpersonal psychology, plant medicine, psychotherapy, music and healing.

She has guided individuals for 20 years and groups for 11, and she has led journeys for women for more than five years. Her voice has a healing, guiding power: now and then she sings during the ceremony, and the song carries you where words can't reach.

There are six guides – one for each participant – and Ecaterina is one of them. The others are women who have made inner journeys themselves and have guided at ceremonies before.

“I look forward to meeting you and to supporting you on your journey.”

Where The Free Woman takes place

The ceremonies take place in the Roundhall – the round hall with a starry sky in its ceiling – at the heart of The Magic Garden, where the 22 cards of the tarot's major arcana stand around the garden. Everything here is built so that you can meet yourself in peace.

After each ceremony you sleep here, so the day can fade out quietly and the group has a morning together before everyday life takes over.

The women in their own words

The biggest change is the self-love and the room I give myself, and it spreads to everything around me. Life is delicious.

Monica, 34, The Free Woman

All the support, care and love from the facilitators, the helpers and my fellow travellers has been absolutely amazing. To experience and feel your tribe – soul sisters – is simply priceless. It makes it so much easier to set out on the individual journey when you have someone to share it with and see yourself mirrored in when you land.

Helle, 36, The Free Woman

The strong, beautiful, supportive bond in the amazing group of women I travelled with. My travel companions! I am so hugely proud of them, and my heart overflows with love for them. A huge, unexpected gift.

A., 42, The Free Woman

Truly a life-transforming course. A very safe setting, with the chance to be vulnerable and very open. A feeling of safety all the way through. Good support and understanding from start to finish at every single ceremony.

Questions and answers

When does the next course begin?

The next course begins on Saturday 24 October 2026. The three retreats are on 24–25 October 2026, 28–29 November 2026 and 9–10 January 2027. The days of the Zoom meetings come by e-mail. Would you like to join a later group? Then write to Ecaterina, and you will hear as soon as the dates are set.

What does the course cost?

The whole course costs DKK 22,000 – three retreats with an overnight stay and food, your own guide in every ceremony, three integration sessions with Ecaterina and nine integration meetings with the group on Zoom. You can pay in instalments over three to six months, with no fee, and you only pay once your place is confirmed – by bank transfer, never here on the page.

How many of us will there be?

Six participants at most – and six guides, one for each participant. Ecaterina is one of the guides herself, and she leads the course from the first circle to the last integration meeting.

Do I need to have been to a ceremony before?

No. You can begin with The Free Woman without having tried anything like it before. The course is built for exactly that: three retreats, your own guide by your side, and the integration sessions with Ecaterina in between.

How much time do I need to set aside?

Three retreats from Saturday to Sunday with a night here, three integration sessions with Ecaterina and nine integration meetings with the group on Zoom – three after each retreat – spread over about three months. You join the meetings from home, and the days come by e-mail.

Do I stay overnight?

Yes. After each ceremony you stay the night, and we finish on Sunday morning with breakfast and a last round. So you don't have to drive home the same evening, and the group has a calm morning together.

I don't speak Danish – can I join?

Yes. English speakers are welcome; we guide you in English. The Zoom meetings are from home, wherever you live, and for the three retreats you come to Fredensborg. Tell Ecaterina when you write or book the call.

What if I'm afraid of losing control?

Most people are, the first time. You set the pace, your guide is with you the whole way, and you can always say stop. And because there are three retreats, you don't have to get everywhere the first time.

Will I still be myself afterwards?

Yes – you are still you. You may feel freer, happier and more alive, but what you experience is your own.

What about food?

All meals on the retreat days are included – freshly made, healthy and nourishing. What to eat and avoid in the days before a ceremony, you hear once your place is confirmed.

What is Ecaterina's experience?

Ecaterina has 25 years of experience with inner journeys. She has guided individuals for 20 years and groups for 11 years, and she has led journeys for women for more than five years. She is one of the six guides herself, and the others have all guided at ceremonies before.
