This music was composed and recorded by Jacob Moth between 1984 and 1996, where he made many inner journeys, which he has described in his book Nocturnal Butterfly. a> There are only 28 packages left.

In Jacob Moth's own words:
"Music for journeys" is a series of musical recordings from between 1984 and 1996. During these 12 years I recorded over 100 hours of "journey music", including at least one symphony a year, consisting of various movements inspired by journeys through different states of consciousness. I have tried to compact the essence of these many hours of "journey music" onto these 6 albums. All the music is recorded on a Fostex 250 four track cassette recorder which at this time was the heart of my home-based AXIS MUNDI STUDIO. During the early years I didn`t have much else, apart from a couple of effect pedals (overdrive, analogue delay, wah-wah and volume), a simple rhythm box ("Dr. Rhythm") and a couple of microphones. However, since the studio was mobile, it was possible to record other instruments elsewhere, such as drums, piano and synthesizer. Over the years I collected more music and studio equipment: a Juno 106; a digital space clang machine; a more advanced rhythm box; a very simple sequencer and a guitar synthesizer.

At the beginning of the 90s I got some shaman drums and created a drum kit. My meeting with urban shaman Georg Stolpe, the shaman drums and the shaman drum kit became the basis for a new symphony, "Seven Winds". Seven Winds - the only symphony which I have chosen to release in its entirety - is the forerunner for the shaman-space-techno band "Axis Mundi” which had its premiere at Esrum monastary in 1996. This symphony is the link between my earlier recordings and my latest: "Axis Mundi - Nature and the chaotic order".

I have chosen to release this set of six albums for the following reasons:1) Many of the tracks are released on tape only, and I have often been encouraged to release them on CD. 2) Even though the sound quality of the recordings is sometimes poor, compared to todays digital wonderworld, I nevertheless feel that the artistic quality justifies this release. In fact I feel that the sound resulting from four-track cassette recording has its own charm and personal quality which facilitates access to the spherical dimensions of the universe and is therefore well suited to journeys in consciousness.

I hope that you get as much pleasure listening to the music as I did creating it.
